Not sure wtf happened…. we came home and both the server and desktop were powered off.
Because of a change I made to the fstab the root file system was being mounted read only…this causes a few problems! I had to download a live cd to mount it rw and make the proper changes. Took me a freekin hour to get the disk! Seems like everything is working currently.

It’s worth renting…I’ll probably buy it. Pretty good flick, the action wasn’t too cheesy and the story wasn’t bad either. Kinda cool to see “super heroes” using their powers to live a really cool ass life.

They just might be starting to get it…
Apparently you can now download every south park episode ever made along with a host of extra content legally. The catch…you guessed it, there are commercials built in to the episodes. IMO that is a perfect solution for a users desire to have content on demand and a company’s need for revenue.
The playstation 3 is getting closer and closer to being the system to buy. Since the industry has standardized on blue-ray, it is the only console available that will support the DVD format of the future AND the 2.2 firmware as rumored to have the ability to down sample blue-ray dvd’s and copy them to your PSP…that is pretty freekin cool IMO. I’ve been reading up some on God of War…and when GOW3 is released for PS3 I’m going to have a hard time not getting one. It would be cool to be able to replace the xbox with a current video game system that is still capable of playing videos from the server.
Safari 3.1 is out for windows…it looks to be pretty good and possibly better than firefox. Dunno, I’m gonna stick with the fox personally.
Sheriff Goodell laid the smack down on the 49ers for screwin with my beloved bears. Tampering doesn’t sound like much of an infraction, but it’s against the rules and it’s good to see him enforce all the rules.
The Lakers might be poised to make a solid run in the playoffs. I would feel much better if baynum and gasol were able to play some together uninjured before the playoffs…but we’ll see. I gotta pull for the Suns too, I’ve always been a Shaq fan.
That’s about all I got for now…damn work is getting in the way of serious nerd research!
