Packers!  Let my Favre go!  The packers should come out and make a public statement about Favre, “we have decided to look to our future with Aaron Rodgers, to further that process and in no small part to his outstanding service to this organization, we have decided to release Brett from any and all contract responsibilities to this organization.  We wish him luck with whatever team he chooses…and we pledge to beat the holy hell out of them when we square off ;) ”  How difficult would that be?  I totally understand their point of view.  They don’t want to give him up for nothing, and it’s worth his salary to keep him away from the Vikings.  I do think after his service to the organization, they owe him a little something.  Yeah, they paid him well and all that jazz…but what is it really going to hurt to let him go.  If you think the Vikings are just a quarterback away from beating you…then fix your organization so that’s not a concern.

Manny!  What a dumbass.  The Sox should never even consider trading him.  They have 2 years of -team- options of 20million…which in baseball is good money for his power.  If I was the owner I would come with one press release on the topic and be done, “Manny is a member of the Sox and will remain so until his contract has been fulfilled.  If he chooses to tank and damage his chances of a contract past those two years, have at it.  It’s worth 40mil to me to watch his arrogant ass self destruct”.  Owners need some balls.

NASCAR!  Are you telling me that all the geniouses at NASCAR and Goodyear could not take in to account the potential tire issues at Indy?  You’ve got to be kidding me.  The mass of rabid fans will just brush this aside and move forward with their fanatical support of this “sport”.  I think it highlights a large issue in NASCAR…there should be more than one tire manufacturer.  I can hear all the motor heads whining now…”Lookie here PooBah…that would give them there other drivers what you call one of them there competitive edges…” (with a southern accent, 1/2 full can of budweiser, their outdated dale Jr. gear on…).  If you’re not going to test this shit…then we need more than one person building it.  Not all the cars are built by the same company…no reason tires can’t be regulated the same way.  Lets just get rid of NASCAR all together.

Tiger! stay away…I’m enjoying the no main stream media coverage golf is getting at the moment.

Rumor has it the Olympics are starting up…does it really matter?  I couldn’t care less about the metal count, in the grand scheme of things it means nothing.

da Bears! signed Devon Hester to a solid extension.  They made a lot of their veteran members financially satisfied.  I’m all for that…but I fail to understand why they cannot realize they need a quarterback to win.  They have never fully grasped that concept.  Overall, I firmly believe that Rex Grossman is going to have the “Season of his Life”.  He’s going to have an 80% completion rate, 25 td’s and 12 ints.  The Bears are going to finish 11-5 clinching the NFC north.  The NFC is going to come down to the Bears and Dallas in Dallas (who will have an outstanding season).  With 37 seconds left and the bears down by 4, Lovie is going to dress Devon Hester in a Jessica Simpson outfit and throw him in at corner.  Romo is going to be so distracted by the new hotness he’s going to be sacked by urlacher, causing a fumble…returned 45 yards for a TD by Briggs.

Bears to the superbowl…where they spank the Jags 45-9

League MVP – Rex Grossman

Superbowl MVP – Devon Hester with a record 3 return TD’s.

/me sighs

So their solution was to tell me I had a screwed up install of squirrelmail…so they “fixed” it for me by installing a plugin that gives you the option to run the entire session in ssl…..how that ‘fixes’ it is beyond me.  After that they advised me they couldn’t support it and to contact the squirrelmail team.

What kinda irritates me is that I advised them what my research shows should be the problem, but I got no confirmation about the mod being installed on their side.  I don’t expect them to be able to adjust anything really, you can’t screw with a whole server potentially impacting several paying customers just for one guy.  Right now, the solution is to drop it out of an encrypted session after the login.

Such is the price you pay for shared hosting.  I don’t really want to be plopping down 50/month just for an email server.  I could move it back to my own machine, but the uninterrupted service is really inviting.  I can’t really control the power or the ISP’s connection.

—-edit—-

work around on my end.

If I drop the session out of https it seems to work fine.

What does this mean for you?  It means that just like when it was on my home server, the squirrel will force you to login in a https session, then after an encrypted authentication it will drop to http for the duration of the session.  This seems to be a viable work around for this issue for now.  I am still quite interested to see if there is something that can be done so the entire session can by encrypted.

Long story short…for end users, forwarding works like it should now.

—————————–

I’ve been scouring the net looking for the cause of this issue. Everything I’ve read seems to point to mod_security being used for apache. I’ve read a couple of things on how to disable it via the .htaccess file, but that appears to not work for my site.

mod_security appears to work in such a way that it runs some kind of parse on the message and if there is specific characters, sequence…whatever in there it denies it. That’s my meager understanding of it at the moment. For our purposes, the offending line is the “To: <address> in the forwarded text. I’ve pasted in a screen shot of what a compose window will look like after a forward with the offending line circled in red. Click on the thumbnail for a larger image.

For the time being, if you want to forward something, delete the line that is circled. You can just delete the word “To” or the “:”.

I’ll let you know when I find out more. I’ve contacted their support about the issue, but I’m not sure what they might be able to do.

She needs to do time.  They have been acquiring several things (ATV, pool, RV…etc) then declared bankruptcy.  There is a fair bit of shenanigans going on.

From here:

BISMARCK, N.D. – A Bottineau County bank teller accused of staging a robbery by hitting herself in the head with a rock has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Tamara McDonald, 45, of Souris, was charged with one count of theft by a bank employee and two counts of making false statements. Authorities dropped one of the false statement charges in exchange for Monday’s plea.

Authorities said McDonald told officers she was knocked out by an unknown assailant while she was working at State Bank of Bottineau branch in Souris on March 25. She later admitted she had staged the robbery to cover up evidence that she was stealing money from the bank.

McDonald allegedly used a large rock she kept on her desk as a paperweight to hit herself in the face and on the back of the head. She broke out a light bulb inside the bank’s vault and forced herself to vomit on the floor before lying down and waiting to be discovered, investigators said.

Investigators said McDonald staged the robbery immediately after a photocopy machine repairman left the bank because she thought his presence would appear suspicious.

McDonald had worked at the bank for about 20 years.

The plea agreement calls for McDonald to return about $18,000 to the bank. She spent about $6,000 of the stolen money to pay off debts, prosecutors said.

Sentencing is set for Oct. 9. McDonald faces a maximum penalty of 35 years in prison for the two counts.

Drew Wrigley, U.S. attorney for North Dakota, and defense attorney William Schmidt were not available for comment Monday.

There is an issue with forwarding email.  If you try to forward as inline text, then click on the button to bring up your address book you’ll get a 404 forbidden error.  Forwarding as an attachment works without issue.  You can forward as inline text if you manually type in the addresses.  Why it’s throwing the error is unknown at this time.  It’s starting to piss me off.
